The question paper (the test task given to candidates) is not on file — only the KNEC assessment sheet is. From the sheet, the task required candidates to plan, prepare, cook and pack a meal of four items: an energy-giving food, a protective food, a body-building food and a nutritious drink, using at least two methods of cooking, and to present the food and drink packed in a suitable container (a lined bag, box or basket) with cutlery and seasoning.
Typical structure of this paper: a planning session (recipes, order of work, list of foodstuffs and equipment), followed by a practical session of about 1¾ hours for preparation, cooking, presentation and clearing up.
